The main difference between the mBot-S and previous mBot models is the on-board LED matrix that comes with this newest version. This hands-on element helps engage them from the very beginning and also helps expose them to the hardware and electronics that comprise the robot’s build. Step-by-step instructions are included in the box and all they need, in addition to the robot’s parts, is a screwdriver. The mBot-S comes disassembled, but it’s super easy and rewarding for students to put together. Using the mBot-S, students get to experience multiple areas of STEM learning, including, most notably, engineering and coding.
